The film delivered on the promise of its slick trailer and my expectations from the lousy first installment (haven't seen 2 or 3): lots of shiny Matchbox cars, hilariously unintentional homo-eroticism (favorite such line: "This is the end of my jurisdiction." "And the start of mine!"), fun one-note performances from Paul Walker and Vin "Would you like fries with that" Diesel and car chases that are moderately stylish and winningly loud and fast-paced bits of boy toy mishigoss. I had fun. Kinda. At times. Maybe.
