I was really surprised by how much I enjoyed this one. The actual viewing experience was as tough as it gets, but not because of over-the-top gore so much as implied horrendousness. The coprophilic aspect bordered on too much, but Six knew how to dial things back enough to keep it watchable.
I liked the middle and end sections here reasonably enough but the beginning (typical horror fodder) seemed to weigh things down for me. Also, I see little stylistic vitality that was there in a film like "Splice."
