224) Late Marriage (2001)

224) Late Marriage (2001) Dir: Dover Koshashvili Date Released: May 17, 2002 Date Seen: May 30, 2011 Rating: 3.75/5

Wasn't as taken with this as Koshashvili's adaptation of The Duel but that might be because I just didn't find Late Marriage's conclusion to be as satisfying as its fantastic opening. Because it starts out and it's all like, "Wow, this movie's amazing," and, "Wow, her breasts look amazing-er." And by the end I was totally involved even without being able to see those fantastic magumboes. But still--the magic was slightly but noticeably diminished. Great poster though, huh?

Gorgeous, sensuous, funny and exceptionally well-conceived. See my review for the New York Press.
